Milton has initiated its new Official Plan project which will implement this policy. Following completion of the new OP project, the local zoning by-law will also be updated to conform. Milton's new Official Plan project has been initiated and will address this requirement. Once the new Official Plan is prepared, the local ZBL will also be amended to conform. We Make Milton - our new Official Plan Project - was launched in summer 2019. It is anticipated that the process will be complete in 2023/24. Work plan includes implementation of SPP. As of 2023, we are preparing our 'Growing in Milton' Official Plan paper, which focuses on where to grow - and where not to grow. We are preparing a policy review piece for discussion papers and identifying a set of policy requirements coming out of SPPs that need to be implemented. The region has also released a policy directions report and we will implement directions as required.
