A process is in place to address future Risk Management Plans for application, handling and storage of commercial fertilizer and application of pesticide when applications are made under the Planning Act.

To ensure the following future significant drinking water threats:

The application, handling and storage of commercial fertilizer
The application of pesticide

within WHPA-A, never become significant drinking water threats, these activities shall be designated for the purpose of Section 58 of the Clean Water Act, 2006 and a Risk Management Plan shall be required.

Monitoring Text:

BC-CW-1.11: The Risk Management Official shall provide a report to the Source Protection Authority, by February 1st of each year, summarizing the actions taken by the Risk Management Official to implement the Source Protection Plan policies, in accordance with the Clean Water Act, 2006 and associated regulations.
