Prioritization was ongoing throughout 2023 (and every year). Prioritization is based on equipment assessment through a standard maintenance schedule. The schedule is based on manufacturer recommendations and/or Consulting Engineers recommendations. Sewer Systems are assessed via camera inspections and visual inspections on a yearly rotation. No updates were required in 2023 to ER plan. All staff are trained in proper protocol & procedure for disinfection system failure. No implementation of the plan was required in 2023.

Further information pending to confirm that there is an emergency response plan in place that is suitable to respond to a system failure that could result in the introduction of pathogens into surface water or groundwater, and that the municipality has prioritized any maintenance and asset management activities to ensure that facilities located in vulnerable areas. Applicable Activities: Wastewater collection facilities that collects or transmits sewage containing human waste that are existing significant drinking threats.
S-6(1): Within two years, ensure that there is an emergency response plan in place that is suitable to respond to a system failure that could result in the introduction of pathogens into surface water.
S-6(2): The municipality shall prepare, by February 1 each year, an annual summary of the actions it has taken to achieve the outcomes of the source protection plan policies and make that report available to the applicable Source Protection Authority.
Recommended contents of the report include, but are not limited to:
a) Updates or amendments to the plan;
b) Summary of training undertaken in support of the plan; and
c) Summary of incidents that required the use of the emergency response plan.
