Policy Text:

Despite policies 4.1, all future Environmental Compliance Approvals issued by the MECP for future sewage systems or sewage works that would be a significant drinking water threat shall include terms and conditions which when implemented will adequately manage the risk to sources of municipal drinking water. This includes: 
Wastewater collection facilities and associated parts: Sanitary sewers
Wastewater collection facilities and associated parts: Sewage pumping station or lift station wet well, a holding tank or a tunnel
It is recommended that the MECP include the following condition: the proponent conduct camera inspections every 10 years after the installation of the sewage works, for a period of 50 years, and every five years thereafter.

Policy P.12.8 – Monitoring Policy for Prescribed Instrument Policies
Where a policy of this Plan prescribes the use of a prescribed instrument under the purview of the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks or the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, by February 1 of each year, the applicable Ministry shall prepare and submit to the Source Protection Authority an annual summary of the action it has taken to implement policies.
