Policy Text:
The Airport Authority SHALL CONSIDER appropriate design standards and management practices for any new airports within the Belmont Wellhead Protection Area (WHPA) to ensure that the management of runoff that contains chemicals used in the de-icing of aircraft never becomes a significant drinking water threat.
Monitoring Text:
KCSPA-CW-1.12: When an airport is established within the Belmont Wellhead Protection Area (WHPA) the responsible Airport Authority shall provide a report to the Source Protection Authority, by February 1st of each year, summarizing the actions taken to ensure that the management of runoff that contains chemicals used in the deicing of aircraft never becomes a significant drinking water threat.
