In progress/some progress made
The City of Brantford Source Protection Plan underwent a Section 34 amendment in 2025 (approved July 2025). Policies were updated and circumstances under the 2021 Technical Rules are now used for the City of Brantford's IPZ (not yet the Ohsweken IPZ as this requires the Section 36 update planned in the future). Threat verification visits and re-assessment of properties in 2025 were initiated to identify properties where existing use of land for outdoor confinement areas or farm-animal yards is a significant drinking water threat. This will continue in 2026. In 2025 no existing properties were identified as use of land for outdoor confinement areas or farm-animal yards as a Significant Drinking Water threat.
