The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs will review any new or existing Nutrient Management Strategies or Non-Agricultural Source Material Plan proposals where ASM or NASM would be a significant threat under the Clean Water Act. The Nutrient Management Act Prescribed Instrument should include measures to be implemented by the farmer to ensure that those regulated activities cease to be or never become a significant drinking water threat to surface or ground water.

Where a policy of this Plan prescribes the use of a prescribed instrument under the purview of the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks or the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, by February 1 of each year, the applicable Ministry shall prepare and submit to the Source Protection Authority an annual summary of the action it has taken to implement policies.
