To ensure any Existing or Future application of commercial fertilizer to land, on properties zoned exclusively for residential purposes in the Area Municipal Zoning By- Laws, ceases to be or never becomes a significant drinking water threat, where this activity is, or would be, a significant drinking water threat, the County, in collaboration with the Source Protection Authority, Area Municipalities, the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, and/or other bodies wherever possible, shall develop and implement an education and outreach program directed at the owners and/or occupants of such properties. The program may include, but not necessarily be limited to, the provision of education material and information about the nature of the threat and how commercial fertilizer can be applied appropriately.

OC-CC-CW-1.8: The County shall provide a report to the Source Protection Authority, by February 1st of each year, summarizing the actions taken by the County to implement the Source Protection Plan, in accordance with the Clean Water Act, 2006. 

Where the County is required to implement education and outreach programs as the primary means of managing the risk associated with significant drinking water threats, the report will include a summary of  the properties where these programs were implemented and additional details on how the significant drinking water threat was managed and/or ceased to be significant.
