To ensure the following Future activities:

  i.       application of agricultural source material (not phased-in under the Nutrient Management Act, 2002)

 ii.       application of commercial fertilizer

iii.       handling and storage of commercial fertilizer

iv.       application of pesticide

v.       the use of land as livestock grazing or pasturing land, an outdoor confinement area or a farm animal yard

in WHPA-B with a vulnerability score equal to ten (10) never become significant drinking water threats, where these activities would be significant drinking water threats, these activities shall be designated for the purpose of Section 58 of the Clean Water Act, 2006 and a Risk Management Plan shall be required.

The requirements of the Risk Management Plan for the application of agricultural source material will generally be based on the requirements of a Nutrient Management Plan and/or Strategy under the Nutrient Management Act, 2002 but may also include any modifications or additional requirements deemed necessary or appropriate by the Risk Management Official.

BC-CW-1.11: The Risk Management Official shall provide a report to the Source Protection Authority, by February 1st of each year, summarizing the actions taken by the Risk Management Official to implement the Source Protection Plan policies, in accordance with the Clean Water Act, 2006 and associated regulations.
