To ensure that any Existing or Future handling and storage of dense non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPLs) on residential properties ceases to be, or never becomes, a significant drinking water threat, where this activity is, or would be, a significant drinking water threat, the City shall develop and implement an education and outreach program to encourage property owners to utilize alternative products where available and to use the proper disposal procedures for these products.

Monitoring Text:

CB-CW-1.6: The City shall provide a report to the Source Protection Authority, by February 1st of each year, summarizing the actions taken to implement the Source Protection Plan policies. Where the City is required to implement education and outreach programs as the primary means of managing the risk associated with significant drinking water threats, the report must indicate, at minimum, the properties where these programs were implemented and additional details on how the significant drinking water threat was managed and/or ceased to be significant.
