Policy Text:

To ensure that any Existing or New onsite sewage works, with a design flow of less than or equal to 10,000 Litres per day and subject to approval under the Ontario Building Code Act, 1992 or the Ontario Water Resources Act, 1990, cease to be or never become significant drinking water threats, where these activities are, or would be, significant drinking water threats, the County shall implement an on-site sewage system maintenance inspection program. Inspections should be prioritized based on the proximity to the drinking water supply.

Monitoring Text:

BC-CW-1.9: The County shall provide a report to the Source Protection Authority, by February 1st of
each year, summarizing the actions taken to implement the Source Protection Plan Policies.

Where the County is required to implement education and outreach programs as the
primary means of managing the risk associated with significant drinking water threats,
the report must indicate, at minimum, the properties where these programs were
implemented and additional details on how the significant drinking water threat was
managed and/or ceased to be significant.
