Existing and future waste disposal sites that are designated as waste generation facilities and do not require a Prescribed Instrument under the Environmental Protection Act are designated for the purpose of Section 58 of the Clean Water Act, 2006 requiring a risk management plan in areas where they could be significant drinking water threats.

Storage of subject waste at a waste generation facility: site requires generator registration under Section 3 of Ontario Regulation 347
- WHPA A and B (vulnerability score of 10) - Deloro, Madoc, Peats Point, Picton, Point Anne and Tweed.
- IPZ 1 (vulnerability score of 10) - Ameliasburgh and Point Anne
- WHPA-Issues Contributing Area - Tweed

Storage of Waste at a Waste Generation Facility: site that is exempt or excluded from generator registration requirements. 
- WHPA A and B (vulnerability score of 10) - Deloro, Madoc, Peats Point, Point Anne (WHPA A and B) and Tweed.
- WHPA-Issues Contributing Area - Tweed

Effective Date: When the Plan, or any plan amendment, as applicable, takes effect for future activities and within 2 years for existing activities.

The risk management official shall submit a report by February 1st of each year to the Quinte Source Protection Authority summarizing the mandatory requirements for the previous calendar year, as specified in Section 65 of Ontario Regulation 287/07 under the Clean Water Act, 2006.
