Where the future storage of snow could be a significant drinking water threat and requires a prescribed instrument to manage, the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks shall:
(a) Ensure no prescribed instrument is issued for Snow Disposal Facilities in wellhead protection areas A and Bs and intake protection zone 1s, as future occurrences are prohibited; and
(b) Ensure a prescribed instrument issued for any other vulnerable area not included in (a) include the appropriate terms and conditions so that it ceases to be a significant drinking water threat, including identifying within the prescribed instrument, that the activity is a significant drinking water threat located within the wellhead protection area and/or the intake protection zone and the name of the associated municipal drinking water system as identified in the Quinte source protection plan and a requirement of specific emergency protocols whether through O. Reg 224/07 or a condition in the prescribed instrument.

Future Occurrences where prohibited:
- WHPA A and B (vulnerability score of 10) - Deloro, Madoc, Peats Point, Point Anne, Tweed;
- IPZ 1s (vulnerability score of 8 or higher) - Ameliasburgh, Belleville, Deseronto, Napanee, Picton, and Point Anne; and
- WHPA-ICA - Tweed.
Future Occurrences where managed by Prescribed Instrument:
- IPZs 2 and 3a (vulnerability score of 8 or higher) - Ameliasburgh (IPZ 2), Belleville (IPZ 2), Deseronto (IPZ 2), Napanee (IPZ 2), Picton (IPZ 2 and 3a), and Point Anne (IPZ 2).
